New LAA County Record Rounds

It was agreed at the recent LAA committee meeting that Lancashire will incorporate the following rounds as county records (in sync with AGB):

Double WA 720 70m (RC/LB/BB, men, women & juniors)
Double WA 720 60m (RC/LB/BB, cadets & juniors)
Double WA 720 50m (Comp, men, women & juniors)

However, at this time we will NOT incorporate new Masters rounds for archers aged over 50s. The men's masters WA 1440 round being a 'Ladies FITA', and the women's WA 1440 round being a 'Metric 2'.

It was felt that (a) the 'over 50' did not fit the age profile of Lancashire archers, many who are over 50, and (b) there was likely to be little call for men to shoot the ladies FITA, and for women to shoot a 'junior round'. However, we will keep the situation under review, and if there is a call for WA Masters rounds & county records we will look at the issue again.

Lancashire Coaching Session

The next Lancashire coaching session is being held on the Saturday, the 16th March, at the Bowmen of Pendle and Samlesbury. This is for archers who want to improve and be coached by Lancashire coaches.

The session runs from 10am until 1pm, and is 20 to attend per person. Spaces are limited, and if you would like to attend, please register here:
